A Warm Heart

How do I keep my heart warm in a world that is increasingly cold?
Just what does this topic suggest to you? As a child I was quite familiar with the expression, that if a person had cold hands, then he or she had a warm heart? Now that I have arrived at the ripe old age of 60 years plus, I am compelled to ponder exactly what constitutes a warm heart, and what purpose does it serve in a “cold” world?
First of all, what is a warm heart? In my opinion it is a heart that has love at its core--love of God first, family second, friends third, and all others (including enemies) last. This kind of heart gives people the courage to face each day with hope because he or she knows there will be joy coming in the morning. Living without a warm heart creates a life of futility. Unless a person surrounds himself with others who have uplifting values, then is that individual left to exist in a cold world? Yes, is undoubtably the answer.
So... how does one keep a warm heart in a cold world?
Following these steps will serve to warm one’s heart in a very cold world.
